Our company was founded to address the ever-increasing complexity of the construction industry in a comprehensive and cohesive manner. When working as independent professionals, you quickly reach the limits of your own specific expertise and must seek out specialized external resources. Typically, the architecture firm takes the lead, especially in the fields of restoration and building rehabilitation. Why must this approach be moved beyond? Because the contemporary construction process cannot proceed in a “cascading” manner: you cannot even afford to sketch out an architectural design without a basic understanding of structural engineering and thermal engineering (and this is true even in the simplest cases...). What is needed instead, is strong interdisciplinary integration right from the start. This is the guiding spirit that inspires behind architecture: all the engineering (and more) necessary, right from the beginning, in the name of architecture.
Behind Architecture S.r.L. is a relatively new company, but it relies on 30 years of professional experience from the firm Vignolo Villa Architetti Associati, carrying forward its core principles of professional dedication, meticulous attention to every design detail, and a constant focus on everything needed for the practical implementation of the project—from administrative, technical, economic, and financial perspectives.
We don’t spend our time daydreaming about “castles in the sky", but rather working day after day to ensure the practical aspects of the construction site and the successful completion of the project. This is also why the professional projects illustrated here may seem few in number, however, each one has required several years of work—from the technical and economic feasibility study through to the construction site—involving hundreds of draft designs, reports, cost-benefit analyses, financial statements, and accounting documents, which, of course, cannot all be included on an introductory website.
