Integrated Design

The primary activity at Behind Architecture S.r.l. is integrated design—that is, the synergistic development of all necessary disciplinary areas. We love to define us "an engineering firm led by architects,” who are responsible for managing all the necessary technical and specialized services. To this aim, we have assembled a close-knit team that includes numerous professionals, some of whom focus on specific design aspects: in the restoration of cultural heritage, the contributions of the decorative surface restorer, the archaeologist, and the art history expert are essential. In all design contexts—even those unrelated to restoration—the geologist, the environmental acoustics expert, the fire prevention expert, and the agronomist are always essential. Thus, the project does not arise from the “simply adding parts” but proceeds through a unified and coherent development.
